Custom Board Development

Your vision, engineered into a manufacturable circuit board — architecture, schematic, layout, prototype and integration support.

Custom board development takes a product idea or an existing problem and turns it into a dedicated PCB. Instead of adapting generic modules, you get electronics designed for your function, enclosure, cost and environment.

We work through the board systematically: architecture first, then schematic with design reviews, then a layout that respects signal integrity, power, thermal and manufacturing requirements.

Deliverables

  • Block diagram and electronic architecture
  • Schematic design with component selection
  • Bill of materials (BOM) with alternates where practical
  • PCB layout and manufacturing outputs (Gerber, drill, pick-and-place)
  • Prototype build coordination and bring-up support
  • Design notes covering key decisions and test points

Engineering stages

How a custom board development project runs.

  1. 01

    Requirements & architecture

Define functions, interfaces, power budget, mechanical constraints and test strategy.

  2. 02

    Schematic design

Circuit design, component selection and internal design review.

  3. 03

    PCB layout

Stack-up, placement, routing, grounding and DFM considerations.

  4. 04

    Prototype

Fabrication and assembly of prototype boards, then bring-up and verification.

  5. 05

    Refinement

Incorporate findings into a revised design ready for the next build stage.

What we need from you

  • Functional description and key specifications
  • Mechanical constraints: board outline, mounting, connectors, enclosure
  • Environmental conditions such as temperature, moisture and vibration
  • Expected quantities and any preferred manufacturers

Not sure about everything yet? That's normal — we'll help close the gaps. See our RFQ guide.
